Pride week was another successful adventure. I love NYC any time any way but it’s always best w/splendid hotel for the stay . True true. Excellent venue, clean rooms, central location, convenient on Sight dining area/ restaurant , and close to all the shops, storefronts, bars, pubs, eateries and Parade Route Too.
I stayed one night here for a work event, and ended up with the accessible room. It was maybe more spacious than a regular room, but hard to tell beyond the large bathroom space. You can hear noises out in the hallway, but otherwise, I had a pretty restful night. Room was comfortable enough, it was close to where I needed to be, and was clean. Minimal amenities in hotel and room.
Great location near subway and if you love walking it's within a reasonable distance to many great attractions. Gave it 4 stars due to the smaller size. Still a great place to stay while visiting or conducting business.
The location is undeniably amazing. However, the rooms are too small and not clean enough. When you enter a bad smell welcomes you in and then. The TV is cracked and the pillows are tattered. The flush was getting stuck so I had to fix it. The carpets were stained. The staff at reception cant say they were very nice. I really did not enjoy staying there at all and was terribly disappointed. Yes, location matters but you also would need space to breath and chill.
This location cannot be beat if you are spending a lot of time downtown - multiple subway lines are very close by and can get you anywhere you need to go. The hotel is fine - rooms are decent size for Manhattan, the bathrooms are quite small and the bathroom sink is ridiculously small and water gets everywhere. You can hear things in the hall, outside...but it's Manhattan, it's not that bad. The hotel really needs some freshening up as it's age is starting to show. I don't know why any hotel would put wallpaper in a bathroom, esp a tiny one - it will eventually peel off and look super janky, which was the case here. Other than that I would definitely stay here again as it was a great value and hopefully they will refresh it soon.
