Pros: good location, clean, shower pressure, comfortable mattress Cons: primarily a hotel for 20 somethings who care more for tech gadgets than quality. The room controlled by the IPad is ridiculous. Manual switches in the room didn’t work so we were forced to use the iPad to turn off and on lights and the blinds. The trim and tile work were showing significant wear and were not high quality. Bathroom design was abysmal. No ledges on which to place toiletries. No shelves for clothes. Simple fixes would go a long way. We were put in a wheel chair accessible room though we told the front we did not want one. Not sure if that is why we had no bathroom shelving. Room by and large was cheap materials. No ice machine except in basement Had to go to different floor to use an iron and the iron was in a public area. Elevators were terrible. One day two of the four were down. The staff were using the other two and people were waiting for quite a while. After a ten minute wait for the elevator we decided to use the stairs for most of the rest of our stay. 20 somethings may love this place, but there are several significantly better hotels within a mile that are about $30-$50 cheaper per night.
This is the coolest hotel I've ever stayed in and I've traveled a lot. The rooms are cozy, but cool. Perfect for the solo traveler, or a honeymooning couple who love close proximity to each other. The onsite bars were very nice, with the rooftop lounge being amazing at night. The small bites menu upstairs was small and there wasn't anything that appealed to me, but the menu at the bar downstairs varies from chicken dumplings, to falafel salad to pizzas. I really wished there was a burger on the menu tho! But, other than that one little thing, my stay was perfect. I will absolutely stay here again!
Beautiful modern decor and views. Fast elevators. Great front desk and cafe service. Mallie was especially warm. Self check in and check out. Cool rooftop bar. Wish there was a happy hour. Rooms have great windows that frame the city view, but need some updating. Lounge staff is annoying for how often they are kicking out appropriately dressed people who aren't guests or coworking. They try to be discreet, but it leads to a negative vibe. There's gotta be a better way, like a scan entrance.
Checked in here after a long day and honestly just wanted something easy. The self check-in was quick, no waiting which I liked. Lobby had people just sitting around working, didn’t feel like a typical hotel. Room was small but everything was set up smart, controlled lights and blinds from the iPad which was cool. Only downside is the space, it gets tight fast if you have bags. But overall it did the job really well.
The highlight for me were the stylish and modern art in the lobby area along with the music and the general atmosphere. The decor and vibe of the rooms was also very modern and very comfortable despite the size. The breakfast was great and they had a nice rooftop also. The only negative (very slight annoyance): when in the lobby, I got asked several times if I had a room and what my room number was. I was on a call one of the times and they came up in the middle to ask me for my room number . I wish they had a better system to only let guests in but this felt suboptimal and slightly annoying.
