Loved our 5 night stay here! As expected, room was a little small but it worked great for 2 people and they provided a lot of storage space. Staff were all friendly, Altair bar was great, they have a photo booth (not free), mini fridge built into the clothing rack, great views. Also conveniently located about a 5-10 minute walk from the subway station. And there was also a lot of great local food around! Easy walk to Times Square. I’d definitely stay here again.
When I tell you, from days prior to my stay, my experience was already top notch with the option to communicate with concierge team via text. But going in.. I mean.. how can I go anywhere else? Such an amazing welcoming team from the front desk, to the cafe, room service, and the restaurant too (shout out to Sunil!). Just.. spectacular. I felt as if I were able to enjoy my stay because they were so attentive. Just amazing. Will be coming back and bringing them cake
I stay here for business regularly. It is centrally located to times square but tucked away from the noise and crowds. I've stayed in a variety of rooms, larger and smaller. They all feel modern and cozy with a small fridge, plenty of space for your clothes, etc. This is not a place to stay for views of the city as it is located mid block, mostly facing other buildings. It has a great little cafe, lots of space around the hotel to work or relax. It also has the best gym I've ever seen in a hotel. You can even have a yoga mat delivered to your room. The service is always excellent. It is my top place to stay when here on business, but I'd stay here if I was vacationing as well.
Arlo Midtown is a little gem in the heart of Manhattan! I was looking for a special place to celebrate an important day with my partner, and I had fallen in love with a room with an incredible view, seen in the reviews. Since I couldn’t find that exact room type on the website, I booked a standard king room and sent the hotel a message explaining this. At check-in, the staff told us they had kindly upgraded us to that very room, and it truly felt like a dream. The view was amazing and made our stay unforgettable. There was a bit of a wait for the room, but they kindly offered us drink vouchers to apologize, which we really appreciated. We also had dinner on the rooftop with a beautiful view, and the à la carte breakfast at their restaurant was delicious. The only small downside was that we arrived 10 minutes late for our rooftop drinks reservation and they didn't seat us. We were a bit disappointed, but we understand the policy. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back. We will keep the people of Arlo in our hearts.
Stayed here for one night and had a great experience. The hotel is well-maintained and feels premium without being overly formal. Location is excellent — just a few blocks from Times Square, close to everything but easy to step away from the crowds when needed. Check-in was smooth and the staff were genuinely friendly throughout the stay. Amenities are top-notch. There’s a gym on-site (the water filter is in the gym area — handy to know). The rooftop café is a highlight — great spot to unwind with a solid view of the NYC skyline. Room views are impressive too, which isn’t guaranteed in Midtown. One thing to keep in mind: the standard rooms can feel a bit snug for a family. Worth upgrading to a larger room if you’re travelling with kids. Overall, a great pick for solo travellers, couples, and business trips alike. Families should just factor in room size when booking.
