Bad experience. The rooms are supposed to be cleaned every 4 days. During my stay of 15 days , it was not done once. Never. I asked and asked. Nobody cares. I tried to talk to a manager. Impossible. This place seems to be run by people who do not want to take responsability . I had to change room. Because the check out time is 11h30 and you have to wait 3 pm for your new room , I had to pay a fee of 4 dollars per luggage. Poor service when you are a current Customer . It is very well located , this is a positive point .
The location is one of the bests that I’ve ever been in NYC! The hostel is pretty nice and complete. They have swimming pools, gym and some activities. Also their rooms are small rooms with a banking bad, which was really nice too
Great location besides convenient cafes/central park and nearby E/B subway lines. There is a 10 dollar fee to be a member, but this gives you access to huge gym areas and the pool so it’s pretty nice. Bottom bunk is awkward to sit at so basically no seating in the room. Showers are hard to use with no place for clothes/toiletries.
This is the cheap place to stay in Manhattan, the room was $140/night total when I stayed this time and $90/night when I stayed last month. The bathroom is shared yes but they have private bathrooms too. If you get a deluxe room on the 12th floor those bathrooms are private, first come first serve though. It is pretty quiet and I slept well. The people complaining are not looking at the other hotels, they're +$250/night, you're not gonna get a cheap hotel and it be four stars, you get what you pay for, stay here if you're on a budget. You can find a cheap hotel in Queens and take a train into Manhattan but right here you have Times Square only 15 minutes away, you're in the vicinity of all the restaurants and attractions, I could even see a little bit of central park from my room.
So this hotel is honestly a 50/50. I’m not usually that hard on inn and cheap hotel because honestly you get what you pay for. Don’t expect a 5 stars if the room is 30$ the night but I had a kinda bad experience there. The staff were really nice and friendly. And the experience was enjoyable thanks to them. The hotel is one of the cheapest in manhattan and is well located so that’s a good deal for people on a budget. But I wouldn’t recommend staying more than 3/4 nights. The rooms are okay if not kinda dirty and the bed is confortable. The bathroom though is hell. There’s no hot water in the shower, the bathroom is a pool because there’s so much water everywhere for some reason and also the door doesn’t close. Since it is a shared bathroom with men on the same floor I didn’t really feel safe showering. Also there’s nowhere to put your stuff so you have to go out in the corridor in the towel or put your clothes on the floor (where, I would like to remind you again, was closer to a pool than a floor) Also they asked us to pay 10$ per night at arrivals which was not included in the price and kinda took us by surprise ?!
