I stayed here for work back in June and hands down it’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in New York. The rooms are a bit small, but everything within them is great. Great bathrooms, super clean, smells super nice and when they were refreshing the room, they left a lavender spray and a cookie, which I thought was a thoughtful gesture! When I stayed you got two tokens which you were able to use on pastries or drinks in the lobby, another sweet add. The staff were ALL SO incredibly helpful. My coworkers and I had to ship multiple packages to the hotel prior to arrival, needed carts to lug stuff around on multiple trips, needed a room for an extra night last minute, and they helped us every step of the way. They kept our packages, helped us move stuff around, were so nice and pleasant always. Every one of them is amazing but special shoutout to princesa and Juan!! As someone who works in hospitality, the Moore team displayed hospitality at the highest level :) we were all so thankful to them. If you’re traveling for business, I highly recommend. Even if you’re not, this is the best place to say. I’m basically gonna stay here every time I’m in New York!!
The hotel is located in the heart of Chelsea. It's walking distance to Chelsea Market and amazing restaurants. It's stylish and well-decorated. The staff were attentive and super helpful. The rooftop is quaint, the drinks are decent and the vibe is chill. THE ROOMS??? Nah, the CLOSETS is more like it. The rooms are legit shoeboxes. They're entirely too small. Even the hallways are super narrow. It feels like a dollhouse and not a hotel irl. There's no space to get dressed or do makeup. No place for your bags. It's totally overpriced, you're paying for the location.
Great location in Chelsea. Property and room were very clean and maintained. Room was, as usual for New York, small but nicely adorned. No complaints although I prefer a room with a small refrigerator, because most restaurants have big portions and too much to eat in one sitting. That is not a knock on The Moore, but in general. Nice stay here!
Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. But honestly I don’t understand how this hotel is rated as 4 stars. I’ve stayed in other 4-star hotels in NYC and they were on a completely different level. • The rooms are extremely small. • There is no minibar, kettle, coffee machine, or many of the amenities you would normally expect from a 4-star hotel. • The view from the room was just a wall. • The room felt more stylish than comfortable. • The hotel lobby looks beautiful, but the actual guest experience doesn’t match the first impression. Overall, it feels like a hotel that invested heavily in design and aesthetics, but not enough in comfort and amenities. It’s not a bad hotel, and the staff were great, but for the price and 4-star rating, I expected much more.
Beautiful boutique hotel in Chelsea! The service was amazing, rooms are incredibly clean, and the amenities are great. The rooms are small as noted but I was traveling solo for work so it was just fine for me. There is such a personal touch to every aspect of your stay. It was such a delight to stay at The Moore. My NYC office is in Chelsea and I look forward to many more stays at the great Marriott property!
