This hotel is more suited for a three-star rating. However, its location and accessibility to numerous train stations are commendable. It’s relatively quiet, though the elevators are quite slow. I understand that it’s a large hotel situated in the heart of Times Square, so it’s practically in the middle of the action. If you’re a tourist, the location is unbeatable. If you’re not really into crowds, this hotel’s location (outside of hotel) is extremely crowded at all times of the day. Mainly, if this is your first time in New York, I can recommend this hotel. The bathrooms are definitely not in the best condition. The shower water takes about 10 minutes to heat up, and the water pressure in both the shower and sink is poor. There’s a flatscreen TV, no refrigerators in the rooms, just a safe and a small wardrobe. The bathrooms also lack washcloths and any special amenities or toiletries. It’s a very basic setup, but it provides a safe place to sleep and connects you to Times Square. The lobby seems to be quite popular, and there’s also a bar or restaurant connected to the hotel.
Rooms were a bit small but it was to be expected for New York City and a hostel type hotel. The service was phenomenal! Naomi the lady at the counter was amazing and made us feel welcome and special. The rooms though small were well laid out and decorated cute. And all the other service workers were phenomenal, the bag guys and the cleaning ladies. Special thank you for making us out of towners feel special. You guys see so many people each day and still we felt that we mattered!
Really great location & entrance / lobby of hotel look nice. However, the extra facilities fee they take additionally to room cost without previous information seems like a scam to me. The room & bathroom where small (as to be expected) but also not too clean. The water pressure in the bathroom was much too low to have a good shower. The drinking water machine was broken.
Had such a wonderful time and such a great stay! The lobby is stunning in the room served its purpose perfectly. It’s a one minute walk from Times Square which is really convenient. And the front desk ladies were a joy!! we ended up making a great relationship with Whitney and Janet, they treated us like family which really stood out and made the experience so memorable!!! Would 100% go back.
