The front desk clerk Danni made my trip so incredibly special. I lost my luggage on the way here so she helped me find where to get replacements for everything I lost and was just so generally kind and made my day so much better. I’m so thankful she was the person who checked me in!
SAM! SAM! SAM! We (Amelia especially) love Sam!!! Thank you for your amazing customer service and hospitality. You were one of the reasons we booked our stay and so happy we did. The hotel is nice and very chic. It’s also in a great location! The room was very cute, lots of cool decor but a bit small. It was last minute booking so we didn’t have many options to choose from. Book this place in advance as it’s very popular!
Moxy was such a highlight of my trip to NYC! The service was incredible from Sam and Joanna! They went out of their way to get us checked in early so we could change out of our wet clothes. Every part of this hotel is artistic and colourful. It’s such a welcoming cozy environment. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were gorgeous. Coming from Melbourne Australia coffee is important and the cafe downstairs has GREAT coffee. I can’t wait to come back and stay again!
This hotel is very aesthetically pleasing, with a trendy, photo-ready bar and lobby—there were multiple people doing photoshoots during our stay. That said, the first thing you notice is a strong perfume scent throughout the first floor. At first I thought it was other guests, but it’s actually the hotel itself. The downstairs areas look great but can feel crowded depending on how busy it is (though that may just be part of being in New York). The overall vibe leans toward a younger, party-focused crowd. Between the suggestive artwork and the club right next to the entrance, it doesn’t feel very family-friendly. The elevator system requires you to tap and select your floor before entering. It works fine once you figure it out, but it’s not intuitive—I saw multiple guests struggle with it. Our room was nice, but didn’t match what we booked. We paid for a king with a city view but got a queen with a partial view that mostly overlooked a daycare. When we asked, we were told some rooms don’t actually have a full view, so keep that in mind. Also, we found a dried contact lens on the floor, which was concerning as neither of us use contacts. Overall, great aesthetic, but better suited for a younger, nightlife-oriented crowd than families or quieter travelers.
