LOVE LOVE LOVED! We highly recommend the Merrion Row Hotel! As first-time visitors to New York City, we took a chance booking this boutique hotel on 45th Street, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay easy and comfortable. Our room was charming, cozy, spotless, and surprisingly quiet—such a peaceful retreat after busy days exploring the city. We enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant downstairs twice, and it was excellent each time. Housekeeping was attentive, our room was always refreshed, and whenever we needed extra towels, they were delivered promptly. One of the things we appreciated most was the exceptional hospitality. After we checked out, the staff graciously stored our luggage so we could enjoy a few more hours in the city before heading home, making our last day completely stress-free. If you’re looking for a hotel with outstanding service, a unique boutique feel, and a fantastic location, the Merrion Row is a true gem. We would absolutely stay here again and would choose it over a large chain hotel any day. Thank you for making our first trip to NYC so memorable!

I stayed at this hotel shortly after it opened in 2019 and had such a wonderful experience. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were lovely, and the customer service was amazing. I loved it so much that I told myself I would stay here again the next time I visited New York. Unfortunately, this recent stay did not feel the same. The hotel itself is still beautiful, and I still really like the rooms and overall design. However, the customer service was disappointing. The staff did not feel very welcoming, and some interactions came across as cold or rude. At one point, while I was waiting near reception, a staff member raised her voice at me without realizing I was a guest, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. The rooms are nice, but they are small and the walls are quite thin, so noise can be an issue. I’ll be returning to New York in a few months for work, but because of this experience, I’ll be choosing a different hotel. It’s a shame because I truly like the property, but the lack of warmth in the service changed the overall experience for me.

What a fantastic experience! Finally a hotel room with NO CARPET! Ultra modern, stylish, extremely clean, beautiful bathroom and well decorated. It’s also the first hotel I wasn’t woken up with hallway noise. The front desk woman was so nice after a long travel day too. Shout out to Nikki! We flew in for 24hrs for a play. Location is amazing! Sitting in their modern and well decorated restaurant writing my review enjoying a delish breakfast! They also have a stunning bar area! 10/10 hotel experience. We will be back.

The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was very nice! I booked 2 queens, and they were definitely queen sized, not doubles. Still plenty of room even with 2 queens. There is limited closet space, and the bathroom is a little small but definitely still usable. Did not have any issue with bed bugs, and our room was serviced every day. Which included 2 free water bottles every day. The beds were pretty comfortable, and so were the pillows. The shower was difficult to figure out, but between the 3 of us, we got it alright. Some cons of staying there, no free breakfast but they did give us $25 vouchers to use every day for their public house restaurant. I was by myself when I checked in, and the front desk agent said my room number out loud which could've been really bad had there been someone else around. The location is not bad, and it's right down the street from times square and had no issues with noise. It is a little hard to find on the street and we passed by it a few times on accident. Still some sketchy characters on that street, but still felt pretty safe. Overall I would stay here again, compared to other reviews i read about hotels in nyc.
