Reviews
I chose MADE Hotel because I was in town for a concert at MSG, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The location made it incredibly convenient to get to and from the venue while still being close to everything else I wanted to see. My room was the perfect size for me and was thoughtfully designed with a clean, modern aesthetic that made it feel both stylish and comfortable. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, and every detail of the room felt well put together. The complimentary morning coffee and evening wine were great touches that made the experience even better. The staff was consistently friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. I know some people mention the rooms are small, but I found mine to be perfect. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. If I'm back in NYC for another show at MSG, or any other reason, MADE Hotel will be my first choice.
Mixed review. I'll start with the positives. The location is great. it's right near the subway and lots of shops/resutrants. The room was nice. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The negitives; our room smelled like someone was cooking fish in it. The elevators take a long time. The rooftop bar was closed without prior notice so we couldn't use it which was something we were looking forward to. We checked out earlier than needed and had a do not disturb plackard on our door but housekeeping still knocked on our door asking when we were leaving. Also we were charged $40 "curation fee" for the wifi, hot chocolate, and wine which we were unaware of until it was charged onto my card. Just something to be mindful for if you are on a budget. I want to give it a better rating because I do think we would stay here again. There were just a few things that made our stay not so great.
Decorated nicely, but small, probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in, even with a king bed inside. But it's NYC! Bed very low to the ground, on a little platform pushed fully up against the window. Clean! Nomad location makes it worth it I think. Coffee shop downstairs we didn't try. Rooftop bar very nice!!
I’ve been staying at the MADE Hotel since 2021, and at this point I’ve probably stayed here close to 10 times for work trips to New York. Every single stay reminds me why I keep coming back. This most recent trip was over Mother’s Day weekend, and being away from my family in Seattle was harder than I expected. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel cared for and comfortable in a way that felt genuine, not forced. From the front desk, to the café, to the bar — everyone here is warm, personable, and effortlessly cool. No one makes you feel pressured or “sold to.” They just make you feel at home. The rooms are also noticeably better than the average NYC hotel room. Of course, space in New York is space in New York, but what you do get here is thoughtfully designed, beautiful, and high quality. It feels elevated without being pretentious. I also love the location. You’re not stuck in the chaos of Times Square, but you’re still perfectly positioned to walk downtown, explore the Lower East Side, grab dinner in the West Village, or catch a show. Every time I stay here, I discover a new coffee shop, lunch spot, or little corner of the city that makes me excited to come back again. Honestly, I’ve almost wanted to gatekeep this hotel because I selfishly never want it to get too busy — but it would be wrong not to give it the five stars it deserves. One of my favorite hotels in New York, without question.
Honestly one of my favorite hotel experiences ever. Unless it becomes extremely expensive I plan on staying here all future trips. The location was amazing. The free wine from 5-6 was an awesome perk. The staff was the nicest staff I’d met. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE. The only downside is that the room will not get cooler than 70 degrees - even when the thermostat is maxed out at 64. For reference, this was at night when it’s around 70 something degrees outside. The walls were a little thin but my neighbors were very quiet. Also - the shower is a rain style shower so it’s not going to be high water pressure. I will say the bathroom looked phenomenal. The design was gorgeous - much like the rest of the hotel. You won’t regret staying here!
