Very disappointing. From the arrival with 2 strollers and 4 suitcases, the "automatic" door was broken and made it very difficult to enter. The floor of the room was still wet, the room is old. There were not enough towels. The chair was broken, the AC doesn't work properly The breakfast is disappointing as well but does the job. And the list goes on. It's our 5th or 6th time in NYC and we will never come back to this hotel again.
I had a mixed experience at Hotel Hayden. However I will confirm that the staff was very understanding and made it right. The location of this hotel is probably its great strength. You are in good walking distance to a lot of the key landmarks. I also liked how it was close to eateries, fast food, Starbucks, etc. The rooms are small but that’s not such a big issue. There is no bar or restaurant on site. The fitness centre is under repairs at the moment.
I had an amazing stay at Hotel Hayden from start to finish. Everything exceeded my expectations. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained throughout my stay. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I appreciated the outstanding service and hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend both Hotel Hayden and its sister property, Hotel Hendricks, to anyone visiting the area. I also booked my company stay here and received nothing but positive feedback from my team. A special thank you to Esther Song, who made the booking process incredibly smooth and stress-free. She made coordinating the company room block simple and efficient, which was one less thing to worry about. I would definitely recommend working with her for any corporate bookings or group stays.
I recently stayed at the Hotel Hayden for one night while in NYC to visit some friends. The location is very convenient to Penn Station and the subway stop at W28th. There are also a number of great local restaurants within a few blocks. The hotel staff were friendly and the lobby was comfortable enough for the limited time I sat there. My room was clean and bigger than most NYC hotels I have stayed at in this price point. The hallways were also quiet (only 8 rooms per floor). The in-room hvac made some noise but it was not anything that hindered my sleep. The hotel does offer a complementary continental breakfast but I did not partake as I had other plans. There is also in-room coffee maker and fridge. I will keep this hotel on my list for upcoming travel to NYC.
