Rooms are huge for NYC - at at least ours was. Hotel appears to be slowly being updated over time. Staff at the front desk were always very accommodating and nice to us. My only real issue was the bathroom in our room didn’t have an exhaust fan so I’ve got extremely hot but otherwise it’s a great property. Shout out to Rocky at the front desk! Amazing service.
I usually don’t leave reviews. I stay at a lot of hotels for work. This day was for a mini vacation. Let me tell you my experience was awesome. As soon as I walk through the door, The most lovely lady welcomed me to the hotel. I was traveling with my two daughters and she was so nice with them and accommodating and asked me if there was anything that I could send them to the room like extra towels, etc..So nice. Everyone was very nice from the front desk, security to housekeeping. The room was nice and big for New York City. It is a three star hotel so I’m not going to say it’s a five star but it is very nice and clean and I’m very picky. The location is amazing. Easy to walk everywhere. Lastly, I was able to book their black car back to LaGuardia for a flat rate which made my life so much easier. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to New York City. What a great hotel. The room was clean, the view was great, but even more so, the staff was amazing!! Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to night audit was so friendly and accommodating, no matter how busy it was, they always had a smile. When we are back in NY, we will be staying there again!
Other than the lack of a bar area for a nice cocktail, I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was very clean, the elevators were impressively fast, and the front desk staff were welcoming and kind. I also appreciated how close it was to the subway, and despite being in a busy area, it didn’t feel overwhelmingly crowded. That said, the rooms felt a bit outdated for my taste. For example, the bathroom didn’t have a walk-in shower, which is something I would expect when paying around $300 per night—especially since the hotel is advertised as renovated. Overall, I would definitely stay here again for the convenience and relatively affordable price for the Midtown area.
It’s an old building, and the rooms are not exactly how they look in the photos. But, it’s good price for the amount of space that you get. Service is hit or miss depending on the staff that attends to you, and there’s no bell service which is fine. I particularly liked the spacious lounge they let guests use 24/7 on the 12th floor — just a good space to get together if you have a big group staying in separate rooms. Location is great, near subway station, and has a Duane Reade that has everything you will need just downstairs by the hotel’s entrance.
