Room was extremely clean and spacious with a great view! The only note I have is that it’s a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway so if you’re travelling with someone elderly it might not be the best location but otherwise I have no complaints! Staff were friendly and attentive!
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, with an absolutely stunning view. Although my stay was back in December 2024, it's never too late to leave a well-deserved positive review. I truly enjoyed my solo stay here. The location is fantastic—very close to many attractions and convenient for getting around the city. The subway is easily accessible, and the Brooklyn Bridge is just a short distance away, making sightseeing effortless. The combination of the beautiful views, excellent location, and overall comfort made my stay memorable. I would definitely choose to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
The best thing about this hotel was the staff. They were all amazing, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we found ourselves needing to talk to the staff somewhat frequently because of issues with the room, like the A/C no longer blowing cold air (a big issue when it was 90+ degrees), the phone stopped working, and an issue with our key. I’ve stayed at many Marriott hotels, and for the price, I expected more from the quality of the room. I had stayed partly for business and partly for exploring NY and the staff easily accommodated multiple back-to-back reservations, without issue, which made our travel way easier/better. But the quality of the rooms and how well they were maintained was hugely lacking. The outlet on my side of the bed came apart from the wall when unplugging, the sink was cracked and stained, the sink always sprayed water at you if you made the mistake of turning it all the way on, as it bounced off the drain, so the bathroom floor was constantly wet, the towel, especially on the first few days before house keeping, was so worn thin, it was fraying throughout, the sheets had some stains and had a hole here and there. And we couldn’t determine if it was a feature or a bug, but almost every shower we took, the water would pool almost entirely to the top of the tray before the drain started actually draining. The light underneath the desk flickered so we left it off. On top of the AC stopping working midway through the trip, and the phone being spotty, we just expected more, again, because it was not cheap being in Manhattan. It gave the vibe of a quick (cheap) renovation, rather than what I expected a NY hotel to be. The location was great and easy to walk to everywhere we needed to be. The curtains blocked morning light which was appreciated. The gym was larger than I expected and was well stocked with towels and water. And again, every member of the staff we talked to was amazing. Hopefully they can do better with the rooms in the future.
We stayed here during a trip to NYC and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is good, within walking distance of a subway station and restaurants. The room was modern and a decent size by New York City standards. However, we were disappointed by the "river view" room. While there technically is a river view, it is only visible from one specific corner of the room. From the bed and most other areas of the room, the view is primarily of surrounding buildings. Our biggest issue occurred on the last day of our stay. We returned to the hotel in the evening to find that our room had not been cleaned. When we contacted the front desk, the situation was handled poorly. We were first indirectly blamed, being told that we may have left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, which we had not. We were then told that the room had in fact been cleaned, despite this clearly not being the case. Eventually, a housekeeping team was sent to take care of it, but we had to wait in the room while they scrambled to find clean towels and make the bed. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of apology throughout the entire interaction. Overall, the hotel has a great location and comfortable, modern rooms, but the misleading "river view" description and the poor handling of the housekeeping issue left a lasting negative impression and unfortunately overshadowed what could otherwise have been a pleasant stay.
One of those hotels where you quickly figure out how to walk around with your suitcases. With two large bags, the room felt pretty tight. That said, everything was clean, the front desk team was always pleasant, and the location made getting around easy. There is also a restaurant connected to the building, although we’re not sure whether the hotel operates it, as well as a small convenience store, which could be helpful for guests looking for a quick meal or a few essentials.
